Brief synopsis:

There are currently no clinical interventions that effectively support cardiovascular function in premature babies. This project will examine the unique cardiovascular physiology of preterm neonates using a pre-clinical model and medical information from preterm babies in order to rationally design effective interventions to manage blood volume. Students will be supervised by Dr Yvonne Eiby and Professor Paul Colditz (practicing neonatologist at RBWH and Head of UQ Clinical School).
