Brief synopsis:

The Department of Orthopaedics in the Queensland Children’s Hospital contributes to several international registries that aim to improve the management of children who present with orthopaedic concerns. We are currently leading and collaborating on projects related to:

  • Paediatric ACL injuries
  • Developmental Hip Dysplasia
  • Femoral growth plate fractures (SCFE)
  • Lower limb trauma
  • Cerebral palsy

For each registry we collect clinical, radiological and patient reported outcome measures and conduct specific evaluations to compare the effectiveness of different treatment strategies.
