Brief synopsis:

This project has two inter-related parts. It intends to explore the interests and motivations of medical students to become involved in research, and also to report on the current data related to medical students' research activity over the last 10 years at UQ and do a national comparison across other medical schools. Students with experience in managing data, and some basic statistics, would be suitable for this project. Learning outcomes will include a better understanding of the traits of associated with student researchers and helping to identify ways to encourage interest in research literacy to enhance clinical skills. A publication(s) is planned for this project.
