Brief synopsis: We will study the gain and loss rates of whole-chromosomes in cancer cells, which specifically misexpress oncogenes or tumor suppressor genes. The aim of the project is to determine if there are biases in whole-chromosome gains or losses following the misexpression of these genes.

This may enable us to better understand the mechanisms of chromosome instability and thereby potentially open up new opportunities for cancer diagnosis or therapy.
