Researcher biography

Edward is an Australian generalist medical practitioner who has been practicing for the last decade as a Hospitalist / Career Medical Officer with experience in General Practice and Emergency Medicine. He enjoys providing and coordinating general medical care of patients in hospitals and at community clinics.

Originally from Sydney, Edward moved to Queensland to study medicine. Upon graduation, he completed his Internship and Residency on the Gold Coast and in rural Queensland before returning to Sydney. He then worked as a Registrar in Emergency Medicine in various Sydney metropolitan hospitals, whilst also working as a Rural Generalist in various rural townships throughout New South Wales and Queensland.

Edward currently practices at Mona Vale Hospital's Urgent Care Centre. He also works casually at Macquarie University Hospital, and has an honorary appointment at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Edward is a Member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Australian Medical Association.

Edward maintains a keen interest in teaching, researching and writing; he has published journal articles for the Cochrane Collaboration and Medical Journal of Australia, and is a Clinical Associate Lecturer at University of Queensland, Macquarie University and Griffith University.
