Arash Arabshahi is a second year medical student at the University of Queensland undertaking the Clinician Scientist track, studying a Master of Philosophy alongside his medical degree. His research at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research (QIMR) investigates the neural mechanisms underlying epilepsy using mathematical and computational modelling techniques on fMRI and EEG data obtained from epileptic patients. Arash holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics with First Class Honours from the University of Western Australia. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, cooking and playing football.
