5. Queensland Health Requirements

Students in the MD program are required to attend various clinical settings as part of the program including visits and placements to various Queensland Health (QH) facilities. All MD students must complete the following 3 tasks:

  1. Sign and return the Student Orientation Checklist
  2. Sign and return the Group A Student Deed Poll
  3. Complete the iLearn@QHealth training modules

When to complete this task:

Students are able to complete the Student Orientation Checklist and Group A Student Deed Poll any time after accepting an offer into the MD program.

It is recommended that you begin the iLearn@QHealth Modules at least 3 weeks prior to the due date, to ensure that adequate time is available to register for an account and to complete the modules.

The checklist and deed poll must be submitted to the Faculty of Medicine as soon as possible and prior to the commencement of semester one, year one.

At the start of each subsequent calendar year, students are also required to complete an annual refresher of the “First Response Evacuation Instructions (FREI)” training module, which can be accessed via iLearn@QHealth. Upon completion, students must login to the Placements system and confirm that they have completed this module. A reminder will be posted on Blackboard at start of each year and this task will also appear on your 'To Do' list in the Placements system in early January.
