Dr. Tamika Webb-Detiege joined the Department of Rheumatology at Ochsner Medical Center in 2007. She obtained her medical degree and rheumatology fellowship training at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.  Dr. Webb-Detiege completed internal medicine residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Cooper University Hospital.  

Credentials & Qualifications

She is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. She is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology.   Dr. Webb-Detiege is certified in clinical densitometry and musculoskeletal ultrasound.  She serves as the physician liaison for the New Orleans Lupus Support Group.  Dr. Webb-Detiege is active in educating medical students and serves as the Academic Discipline Head for Medical Specialties at the University of Queensland /Ochsner Clinical School.

Dr. Webb-Detiege has received recognition several times for her teaching skills and has been frequently listed as a Top Doctor of Louisiana.

Research Interests

She is interested in clinical rheumatology research and has authored several rheumatology based articles and book chapters. Additional interests include Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, osteoporosis and musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Caring for patients and being a part of educating future doctors.

Interests Outside of Work

Travelling and learning new things.
