Brisbane is home to more than two million people from 200+ nationalities, speaking 220 different languages. It is one of the most multicultural cities in Australia and brings an abundance of cafes and shops, festivals and new experiences from all corners of the globe.

We enjoy magnificent weather with warm temperatures and 300+ days of sunshine each year. No wonder Queensland is known as the ‘Sunshine State’! There is plenty to do, no matter the season. Whether you enjoy sport, food, art, beaches, or nature and wildlife, there is a multitude of things to do and places to explore. We are also lucky enough to be located between the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast where sandy beaches, theme parks and national parks are in abundance.

UQ’s St Lucia campus is where you will be based for most of Year 1. St Lucia is centrally located, just seven kilometres from Brisbane’s city centre. In Year 2 you will be allocated to one of the Brisbane-based Clinical Units, where the majority of your time will be spent. Each of the Clinical Units are also centrally located, with plenty of options for dining, shopping, and living no matter your interest. Find out more about the St Lucia campus here, and about each of the Clinical Units here.
