  • While Beaudesert is close enough to the southern suburbs of Brisbane, it saves a tremendous amount of time to accept the accommodation option rather than travelling everyday.

BDH is an incredible learning environment, which very much supported my learning as I began clinical placement. my preceptor ably assisted me in becoming oriented to the hospital, as well as the hospital life. His teaching and feedback were incredibly useful, as they provided a framework through which to develop my clinical reasoning and approach to patient DDx and thus history taking. The teaching which was provided - both formal and on the stop - was detailed, clinically relevant, and at the appropriate level for my current learning. The nursing staff were extraordinarily helpful, especially when letting me know about an opportunity which I could assist with. I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at BDH, and greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with these skilled, considerate practitioners.

Overall excellent. Special thank you to the ED nurses and theatre nurses for actively pushing students to do more.

It was exceptional! Staff were great and lots of variety and opportunities to be involved.
