As an accredited Indigenous Health Centre, Ashfield Country Practice prides itself on caring for vulnerable populations, with a focus on Indigenous Healthcare and a mental health focus for those who have served for our country. I had the most phenomenal time at this practice, and consider it to be my favourite placement of medical school so far.

All the staff at Ashfield, whether medical or not, go above and beyond to deliver genuine, passionate and holistic health care. Despite my short placement, I was welcomed into their family instantly, and subsequently learnt so much and made many new friends and lifelong professional contacts. Through this placement, I have been inspired to pursue a career in general practice, particularly rurally.  I cannot recommend this placement enough to fellow students!

I truly enjoyed my experience at Ashfield and I believe that I leave as a more confident and skilled student because of my time here.

Had a great placement. Everyone at the practice was very welcoming and friendly, happy to include me in to observe/participate in procedures/to get DOPs done.
