AFPHM John Snow Scholarship in Public Health Medicine 2017 - Applications closing 6 October 2017

27 Apr 2017

AFPHM John Snow ScholarshipThere are scholarships available for each region state or territory around Australia and also for NZ recognising the work of medical students with an interest in public health and give them the opportunity for intellectual and social discourse with other like-minded medical students and AFPHM Fellows and trainees of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. The aim of these scholarships is to have students reflect on their work and the learnings they have taken from it, giving them a rounded view of the scope of public health, as well as exposing students to presenting research.

Each region, state and territory holds a competition, with the recipient from this event going on to the RACP congress to present in a national competition. Past students have commented on how this experience increased their confidence with presenting, the networking opportunities this has opened up for them, and increased their understanding of the impact and scope of Public Health Medicine.

You can find out more about the awards here, including links to testimonials, abstracts and videos of past presenters.
