CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The deadline for submissions is Friday 29 September at 5pm

The CHQ Research Symposium is the annual event which showcases the high quality research being undertaken by colleagues employed by, or affiliated with Children’s Health Queensland in many roles. The Annual Symposium is held in partnership with the Children’s Hospital Foundation and in conjunction with our three University partners. One aim of this Annual Symposium is to encourage early career researchers, from all disciplines, to present current or recently completed aspects of their research.

We would be delighted if researchers from CHQ and our University partners would submit Abstracts for consideration for oral presentation during this year’s Symposium. Submissions will be evaluated on the basis of scientific merit; significance or innovation; interest and flair.
All domains of both clinical and pre-clinical research will be considered. Presentation time will be eight (8) minutes oral presentation, followed by two (2) minutes questions and discussion.

The Symposium is being supported by the Children’s Hospital Foundation who have kindly sponsored five $500.00 Travel Awards for:
• Best research presentation – PhD Research
• Best research presentation – Masters degree research
• Best research presentation – Honours and undergraduate research
• Best research presentation – Professional service
• Best research presentation – Other Clinical research
Applicants selected for oral presentation will be evaluated by a panel of judges. All submitted abstracts will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 29 September at 5pm

Abstracts must be submitted electronically to CHQ_DirResearch@health.qld.gov.au
